The Light shines in the darkness
and the darkness has not overcome it - John 1 vs 5

1) JOY TO THE WORLD!

Joy to the world the Lord is come
Let earth receive her king
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and Heaven and nature sing

Joy to the world the savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods rocks hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, and wonders of His love

2) GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN

Verse 1
God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray

O - tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Verse 2

From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came
And unto certain Shepherds
Brought tidings of the same
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name

O - tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Verse 3

The shepherds at those tidings
Rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a-feeding
In tempest, storm and wind:
And went to Bethlehem straightway
The Son of God to find.

O - tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Verse 4

And when they came to Bethlehem
Where our dear Saviour lay,
They found Him in a manger,
Where oxen feed on hay;
His Mother Mary kneeling down,
Unto the Lord did pray.

O - tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Verse 5

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All other doth deface.

O - tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

3) HARK THE HERALD ANGEL

1
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King;
Peace on earth, and mercy mild;
God and sinners reconciled.”

Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With angelic hosts proclaim,
“Christ is born in Bethlehem.”

2
Christ, by highest heav’n adored,
Christ, the everlasting Lord:
Late in time behold Him come,
Offspring of a virgin’s womb.

Veiled in flesh the Godhead see,
Hail th’ incarnate Deity!
Pleased as man with man to dwell,
Jesus our Immanuel.

3
Hail the heav’n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Ris’n with healing in His wings:

4
Mild He lays His glory by,
Born that man no more may die;
Born to raise the sons of earth;
Born to give them second birth.

4) AWAY IN A MANGER

1: Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head.
The stars in the sky looked down where He lay,
The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

2: The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes;
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

3: Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray;
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And fit us for Heaven to live with Thee there.

5) LITTLE DRUMMER BOY

1
Come, they told me, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
A newborn king to see, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
To lay before the king, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum

So, to honor him, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
When we come

2
Little baby, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
I am a poor boy, too pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
I have no gifts to bring, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
That's fit to give a king, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum

Shall I play for you, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
On my drum?

3
Mary nodded, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
I played my drum for him, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
I played my best for him, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum

Then he smiled at me, pa-rum-pa-pum-pum
Me and my drum

6) O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

1. O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see you lie!
Above your deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by:
yet in your dark streets shining is everlasting light;
the hopes and fears of all the years are met in you tonight.

2. O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth,
and praises sing to God the King, and peace to all the earth.
For Christ is born of Mary; and, gathered all above,
while mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wondering love.

3. How silently, how silently the wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of his heaven:
no ear may hear his coming, but in this world of sin,
where meek souls will receive him - still the dear Christ enters in.

4. O holy child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray;
cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell -
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Emmanuel.

7) WE THREE KINGS

1. We three kings of Orient are;
bearing gifts we traverse afar,
field and fountain, moor and mountain,
following yonder star.

O star of wonder, star of light,
star with royal beauty bright,
westward leading, still proceeding,
guide us to thy perfect light.

2. Born a King on Bethlehem's plain,
gold I bring to crown him again,
King forever, ceasing never,
over us all to reign.

3. Frankincense to offer have I;
incense owns a Deity nigh;
prayer and praising, voices raising,
worshiping God on high.

4. Myrrh is mine; its bitter perfume
breathes a life of gathering gloom;
sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
sealed in the stone-cold tomb.

5. Glorious now behold him arise;
King and God and sacrifice:
Alleluia, Alleluia,
sounds through the earth and skies.

8) ONCE IN ROYAL DAVID’S CITY

1 Once in royal David’s city
stood a lowly cattle shed,
where a mother laid her baby
in a manger for His bed:

Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ her little Child.

2 He came down to earth from heaven
who is God and Lord of all,
and His shelter was a stable,
and His cradle was a stall:

with the poor, and meek, and lowly,
lived on earth our Savior holy.

3 And our eyes at last shall see Him,
through His own redeeming love;
for that Child so dear and gentle
is our Lord in heav'n above,

and He leads His children on
to the place where He is gone.

9) O COME ALL YE FAITHFUL

1. O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come, and behold Him, born the King of angels!

Refrain:
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord!

2. God of God, Light of Light,
lo, He abhors not the virgin's womb;
very God, begotten not created

3. Sing, choirs of angels; sing in exultation;
sing, all ye citizens of heav'n above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest!

4. Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv'n!
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing! [Refrain]

10) LITTLE DONKEY

1. Little donkey, little donkey
On the dusty road
Gotta keep on plodding onward
With your precious load

2. Been a long time little donkey
Through the winters night
Don't give up now little donkey
Bethlehem's in sight

Ring out those bells tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem
Follow that little star tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem

3. Little donkey, little donkey
Had a heavy day
Little donkey, carry Mary safely on her way
Little donkey, carry Mary safely on her way

Refrain

Do not falter, little donkey
There’s a star ahead
It will guide you, little donkey
To a cattle shed

11) O HOLY NIGHT

1 O holy night! the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope- the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

2 Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother,
And in His name all oppression shall cease.

hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we;
Let all within us praise His holy name.

Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Christ is the Lord! O praise His name forever!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!

Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

12) SILENT NIGHT / NOCHE DE PAZ

1 Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

2. Noche de paz, noche de amor
Todo duerme alrededor
Entre los astros que esparcen su luz
Bella, anunciando al niño Jesús
Brilla la estrella de paz
Brilla la estrella de amor

3. Noche de paz, noche de luz
Ha nacido Jesús
Pastorcillos que oíd anunciar
No temáis cuando entréis a adorar
Que ha nacido el amor
Que ha nacido el amor

4. Wondrous star, lend the light;
With the angels let us sing
Alleluia to our King;
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.

13) IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER

1 In the bleak midwinter
frosty wind made moan,
earth stood hard as iron,
water like a stone:

snow had fallen,
snow on snow, snow on snow,
in the bleak midwinter,
long ago.

2. Our God, heaven cannot hold him,
nor earth sustain;
heaven and earth shall flee away
when he comes to reign:

In the bleak midwinter
a stable place sufficed
the Lord God Almighty,
Jesus Christ.

3. What can I give him,
poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd,
I would bring a lamb,

If I were a wise man I would do my part,
Yet what I can I give him?
Give my heart.

14) DING DONG MERRILY ON HIGH!

1 Ding dong, merrily on high!
In heav’n the bells are ringing;
ding dong, verily the sky
is riv’n with angel singing.

Gloria, hosannah in excelsis!
Gloria, hosannah in excelsis!

2 E'en so here below, below,
let steeple bells be swungen,
And io, io, io,
by priest and people sungen.

Gloria, hosannah in excelsis!
Gloria, hosannah in excelsis!

3 Pray ye dutifully prime
your matin chime, ye ringers;
may ye beautifully rhyme
your evetime song, ye singers.

Gloria, hosannah in excelsis!
Gloria, hosannah in excelsis!
